OK 13) Landing speed(KIAS): a) 30% fuel: 166 KIAS b) 15% fuel: 158 KIAS 14) Take-off with some engines out of service: Severe pull with one engine cut. Aircraft will liftoff after takeoff run of 3002 m and once in the air will handle nicely on three engines. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION D: NOTES/COMMENTS: 1. The modelling and the markings are excellent. Add to this the excellent RCS 747 panel available from simflight.com and this aircraft is irresistable. 2. This is a very heavy aircraft with lots of momentum. Turns tend to be very wide. On approach, with the weight of the aircraft and the very fast approach speed, turning final must be planned well in advance. DO NOT wait for the ILS needle to begin turning. You will miss the runway by a mile. 3. The endurance figures are somewhat less than stated in the docs, but this test flight was done at FL310. The 747 is capable of a much higher ceiling. Climbing to a higher flight level would certainly increase the endurance numbers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NB:- The above report is on the Beta version, on which the TCA "Aniversary" 747-400 is based. The "Willemstad 3" is a fine FS98 version. PMW 9/98 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
